Muimuifolau's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase enough mulberry for her tapa making and also helps with the renewing of their rotten roof.

Muimuifolau's story

This is Muimuifolau. She is 37 years old, mother to two children, and wife of a seasonal worker who is currently stuck overseas due to the lockdown. Muimuifolau and her children live in their own home.

Currently she is a member in a group of women who make tapa together. On Saturdays of every week, Muimuifolau and the group of women gather into a hall and make lots and lots of tapas. Normally she sell her tapas to her relatives overseas, but since the lockdown, things have been so hard and she has had to sell her tapas locally at a cheaper price. She also prepares soft tapas and sells it at the local market.

Muimuifolau is a very hard-working mother who does not rely on her husband to remit money for them. Instead, she runs her own business and makes her own money. Part of their roof has been rotten and Muimuifolau needs it to be fixed. With this loan she will be able to purchase sufficient mulberry for her business as well as fix her rotten roof.
