Jestina's story

Meet Jestina, 36, from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with 2 kids, ages 9 and 16. Both of her children are currently in school and live at home. Jestina attended school up to 7th grade. She mainly sells motor bike spare parts. She started to sell in order to help her partner with some household expenses. She has been managing her sales for 9 years now and describes herself as a hardworking business woman. She sells 6 days a week. And 7 hours daily. She has no problems with her business. Jestina transports supplies to her business site by using motor bike. She learned the trade from her mother and her partner gave her some funds to start the business. She requested this loan from Brac to purchase more motor bike spare parts to sell in order to further build her business. She likes her business because it gives her profits. Her dream for the future is to build houses. She says thanks and gives appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for their support.
