A loan helped to buy 5 cartons of used shoes to grow her initial capital.

Tuendelee Group's story

Madam Lambertine is a partner of the IMF Hekima and president of the groupe villageoise, Tuendelee. She is 48 years old, married, and the mother of 11 children, all of whom are educated. Her partner is a government employee.

Madam Lambertine sells shoes. She began this business 23 years ago with start-up funds from her husband. She later partnered with the Hekima program to support her company, which she has been growing steadily.

With this new loan, Madam Lambertine will buy 5 cartons of used shoes to grow her initial capital. The challenge of her business lies in a lack of customers and unpaid debt.

Madam Lambertine wants for her children to continue their studies and to buy a house. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to businesses without access to traditional banking options during the global crisis caused by COVID-19.

Only the group leader is featured in the photo in order to respect social distancing measures due to COVID-19.
