Loveli's story

Loveli Dai Beauty is a Beauty brand started by a teen single mother in 2016 at the age of 17 with a social impact mission. I started this business while I was still in high school. At the beginning of my journey, I was battling between childhood trauma and trying to find an outlet. Makeup became that for me, I soon realized that makeup not only made me feel beautiful but changed the mood of others as well. My senior year being a makeup artist became my only means of income, battling between homelessness and being pregnant, I turned to youtube to gain more skills. I would travel with my makeup bag by public transport and foot, some days I would walk miles to get to my clients' homes. After having my daughter, I had enough money saved to get our first apartment, I began working out of my apartment. I built a makeup studio out of my home. Year to date I have over 395 clients, I've serviced several weddings, fashion shows, and magazine editorials. I also now have my own luxury eyelash line inspired by my daughter Lai. Makeup has completely changed my life. Once I was in a position to give back to my community, I started marketing free prom makeup for teen girls with low income as well as brides. I know how much those special moments mean, and I don't believe being indigent should not give you access to feeling beautiful on your special day. My company accepts submissions from people all over the Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha area that would like to apply for a free makeup service for their special day who can't afford the service. Knowing that I've been part of people's most intimate and important days makes me feel most fulfilled.
