Betzaida's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to relocate and improve a traditional Panamanian food restaurant.

Betzaida's story

Meet Betzaida!

Betzaida is a real multifaceted and hardworking entrepreneur. Apart from running a restaurant, she also distributes clothing, lottery tickets, and jewelry. Despite the fact of being a single mother, she has always provided for her children and their education.

Her current restaurant has water leaks and has structural issues, so that's why today Betzaida is asking for her first Kiva loan, to relocate her restaurant and continue improving it.

Betzaida is an eager learner. She has participated in different Business Telebrigades, where volunteers internationally taught her business principles and skills, increasing her business savviness and management skills. Also, Betzaida has previously taken out smaller loans in the local community-owned bank and has repaid them back punctually, demonstrating her payment capacity and high responsibility levels.

Thank you for supporting women-owned businesses in rural areas of Central America that have been historically excluded from basic financial services.
