Twubakane Cb Group's story

Angelique is a 45 years old mother of two children aged 7 and 9 years. Her husband is an agronomist, and for the past five years, she has been selling foodstuff.

Angelique is the leader of the group Twubakane Cb, which means “Let us build each other” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Angelique will use her portion of the loan to buy plantains, cassava, beans and sweet potatoes to sell in her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some savings and expand her business. She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

"Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group".
