Esterlita's story

Esterlita owns a sari-sari (variety) store in the town of Bien Unido, in the province of Bohol. She is 58 and has been engaged in this business for the last six years. Aside from the store, she also cooks snacks that she sells at her business location. Sometimes she cooks pancakes, banana cue (deep-fried banana in caramelized sugar), or camote cue (deep-fried sweet potato in caramelized sugar).

Esterlita is asking for a loan to ensure that she can restock her shelves. It will be spent on rice and assorted drinks, which are her bestsellers.

From her business, Esterlita is supporting her 17-year-old dependent. Esterlita hopes that all of her hard work will bear fruit to make her family's life better.
