39 year old Betty N. is now 4 and a half years into her agro produce sells business in Lukolo market-Mukono. Her bearing a hand in this business is as a result of the encouragement of her erstwhile husband. She was previously a teacher. Betty is a divorcee with 2 children. In her business, which she operates at the rather busy Lukolo market, she has mostly been selling maize, beans and sugar cane. It’s mostly the local rank and file who are her dependable clients. In a week, this steadfastly hardworking lady makes 40,000 shillings as profit. She is also able to supplement on her profits through her pay phone services. With this loan, Betty wants to purchase a bike to help her workers easily transport her produce to her distant customers. Part of the loan will be put into buying coffee seedlings that she later intends to plant.
