Cora's story

Cora is 44, married, and has five children. She lives in a simple dwelling in Albuera, Leyte where she runs her food selling business to get an income. She sells barbecue. Cora has been in this livelihood for many years.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP 47,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines which she will use for additional capital to buy food like meat, frozen foods and seasonings. The rest of the loan will be used to buy grocery items and drinks. Cora also has a store for additional income.

She dreams to expand her business in the future and become productive.
