Hope Foundation, Kyenjojo Group's story

John Mary K. is very hard working and ambitious about owning a big agricultural farm in his home area of Buhihi Kyenjojo. Yet he is in circumstances that may make him seem like a wishful thinker. This means he faces long odds in achieving that mission. He, however, has at length built a strong determination that has played in his favor. With strong hard working skills up his sleeve, he has carved out a dependable business selling bananas, farming poultry and growing fruit. John Mary has banked on this business for the last 3 years and his family of six children has also enjoyed the good graces that have come with that business. He earns monthly profits of 250,000 Ugandan shillings. With this loan he hopes to purchase mulches and fertilizers to help improve his agricultural farm and also buy pesticides, as pests like banana weevils have always affected the plantation and reduced yields. This will in turn improve his yields, and hence his sales revenue, and will enable him to live a more satisfying life.
