Akabanga Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more plantains.

Akabanga Cb Group's story

Leontine is 58 years old and a mother of eight children between 20 and 40 years old. Her husband is a farmer, and for the past 20 years, she has been selling foodstuffs.

Leontine is the leader of the group Akabanga Cb, which means “the secret” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Leontine will use her portion of the loan to buy more plantains to sell in her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some savings and also provide for the family.

She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
