Mary Wendy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for 30 kilos of kava, packets of cigarette to stock up her kava bar, and also PVC flooring mat to better provide for her customers.

Mary Wendy's story

Mary Wendy lives in an urban district which is 5 minutes drive to Port Vila City. Her community is large, and the main industry is food. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been quite alright for one to make income as her community has two local primary schools.

Mary Wendy is 27 years old who has her partner and two beautiful children of ages 4 and 3. Her partner is unemployed but is a massive helper in her business. She lives with her family in her parents home.

Mary Wendy has requested a loan to help her pay for packets of cigarettes and 30 kilos of kava to produce certain kilos of kava daily for her customers. She will also purchase PVC flooring mat to help put in her little brothers barber shop where she will also be braiding extensions.

With the revenue earned, she will use to invest in children's education so they can earn a well paid job in the future, she would also save a little so she can purchase a piece of land for her family.

Mary Wendy's customers are mostly close friends and the general public. South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd has aided Mary Wendy for over a year now, and this is her second loan. She has faithfully repaid her first loan on time. As her business slowly grows, Mary Wendy feels motivated to continue to expand her business so she can provide the best to her family.
