A loan helped to buy agricultural inputs for her farm.

Benkadi Group's story

Now 32, Naminata has been farming since she was 16 years old. She grows groundnuts, beans, and peppers. Naminata lives in Mali. She is married and the mother of three children, a 7-year-old girl and 2 boys who are 4 years old and 6 months old. Her eldest son attends school. Naminata never attended school herself. Her husband is also a farmer.

Naminata is borrowing from RMCR to be able to buy more agricultural inputs (fertilizer, herbicide and insecticide) in order to increase her production. She sells her groundnuts and peppers in bulk in her village and in Sikasso. The leaves of the peppers she grows are fed to livestock.

With the financial support of RMCR, Naminata hopes to become a great producer of peppers, groundnuts, and beans and support the needs of her children. Her expected monthly profit is 30,500 FCFA.
