Tunuk's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizer for growing organic watermelons.

Tunuk's story

This lovely woman is Tunuk. She is 52 years old and married. She lives with her 2 children in the Kara-Suu district. The region is very well suited to agriculture. The family owns an inspiring farm with 3 cows. She also has a 0.73-ha land plot where she grows watermelons. She makes every effort to keep the farm productive, because their income greatly depends on that. For 25 years now what they get from sales has been their primary source of income.

She has applied for a loan totaling 160,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank to buy fertilizer and seeds to grow organic watermelons. She plans to invest the income from the loan into further expanding her business.
