Bethsheba's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her business by purchasing more cosmetics such as lotions to meet her customers' demand.

Bethsheba's story

Bethsheba is a 24-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in Chienge district in Zambia. She sells cosmetics. With her first Kiva loan, Bethsheba replenished her inventory which increased her sales and now her business is thriving. She is requesting a second loan to expand her business by purchasing more goods to meet her customers' demands. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family’s basic needs. Bethsheba will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a Financial Education Guide, supporting other young women in her community by teaching them about financial literacy and best practices for setting up a business.
