Tafaogalupe's story

Tafaogalupe is 47 years old and married with five children. She lives in a rural village in Samoa. She owns and operates a fish market. She has been running her business for nine years now. She’s a hardworking, person that would do anything to help her family.

She became a borrower with SPBD 10 years ago and has successfully borrowed and repaid 10 loans. Due to her successful history, she is one of a select group that is eligible for a larger loan of $15,000. She will use this loan to and expand her business.

In the past, Tafaogalupe has used the profits from her business to employ local people as her business grew and to help with her children’s education. In the future, She hopes to build a supermarket at her place to expand her business. She became a member of SPBD in 2007.

Tafaogalupe dreams of building a new home and sending her children to university.
