Milpa Del Apante Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy manure, fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide, fungicide and pay for labor.

Milpa Del Apante Group's story

Reyno is 49 years old. He is married and is the father of five children. Two of them are still dependent. He is a farmer who learned to love the land from his father who he helped with this work, which is how he got started. He also grows coffee in his community. He is now the owner of his own land where he grows beans.

For this current growing season he wants to plant 2 manzanas (a local land measure) of beans. So he is requesting a loan from Fundenuse with funds from Kiva to purchase a supply of poison and pay for labor. He is grateful in advance to Fundenuse and Kiva for the support they offer small growers.

He belongs to the “Milpa del Apante” communal bank with Eleodoro, Fabian, Rafael and Víctor who also farm and want to invest in their crops and make the most of this second harvest season.
