A loan helped to purchase more ground nut and kola to sell.

Thrersa's story

Thresa is 39 years old. She is living together with her partner along with 6 children. All of her children currently attend school while living at home. She never had the opportunity to attend school. Her main source of income is business, mainly selling ground nuts and kola. She started a few years back with the objective of increasing her business. She has applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia.

The loan will be used to purchase more ground nut and kola to sell and increase her business. She is hopeful that with increased inventory, her sales will also improve, thus bettering her finances to provide for family. She learned the trade from her mother and started selling with some financial help from her partner. Theresa is grateful for the financial support from the funders that will boost her. In the future she would like to continue sending her children to school and to build a house.
