08-Daan Sa Doole Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy baobab fruit and sugar to make ice cream which she will sell along with thiacrie (a sweet millet couscous dish).

08-Daan Sa Doole Group's story

This group of women was formed in June 2009. It includes these seven women who live in different neighbourhoods. They maintain good relationships with one another and help one another out to assure the success of their businesses. They are all active in retail sales in order to establish financial independence.

Madame Fatou, aged 60, is married and has five children. She also cares for two other children. She represents the group out of respect for the social distancing measures required due to Covid-19. With this new loan, she intends to buy baobab fruit, sugar, ground maize and powdered milk to make ice cream and thiacri to resell. The profits will allow her to contribute to her savings and to take care of her daily needs.
