Rosa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more quality fertilizers to sell to the smallholder farmers in her community.

Rosa's story

Rosa is a 42-year-old Mozambican woman. She lives in Manica province with her husband and their five children.

She has worked in agriculture since she was very young. Thanks to this activity, Rosa was able to raise her children and build her own house. She started growing and selling veggies in her community, and she realized the importance of having good inputs, such as fertilizers and pesticides, in order to have a better yield. This is why she entered into the commerce of agricultural inputs.

Rosa helps many smallholder farmers around her by selling good quality inputs and offering technical assistance. She is also a member of a savings and loan group which helps her to manage her finances better. For this reason, she was also able to finish her previous loan as a prepaid loan.

The farmers around her trust her to provide the inputs they need, so she is requesting a second Kiva loan to buy more quality fertilizers to sell to the smallholders in her community.
