Pov's story

Pov is married and has two children living with her under the same roof in Bakan district, Pursat province. She has spent most of her lifetime dedicated to agricultural businesses, including farming and raising some poultry. Through these businesses, Pov has earned her income from which she has been able to support her daily living. Her husband serves as her motivation in these businesses. Pov stands to process her food crop regularly, then more food will be in her food reserve which is an aid in adaptation and mitigation of climate change. Agriculture products processing gives income to her family and improves her family's standards of living.

Because of a shortage in her finances, she has applied a loan in the amount of USD 1,500 to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around her house. With this loan support, she can pay for the ground filling and provide her family members with a good environment, fresh air, protecting them from illness and creating good living conditions. In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and push her children to continue studying at university. She believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
