A loan helped to buy various clothing items and various articles for the hair salon.

Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

The group called “Mujeres Luchadoras [Determined Women]” started through the effort of the neighbors and friends of a neighborhood in the city of Itá. They are in the second [loan] cycle. They are working in the Poverty Elimination Program and currently have some indicators at the yellow level -- that is to say the middle level -- and are working to improve.

One of the members is Edelmira, who is married and the mother of a family. She is a hardworking person who, with her husband, is looking for a way to give their daughter a better quality of life. Edelmira has a shop selling clothes from her house, and she also started a hair salon, taking advantage of her abilities in this profession because of the desire to contribute toward the family expenses. Her goal for the future is to achieve her daughter's completion of a professional university degree, and she is sure that with effort and dedication she will achieve her goal.

She is requesting this loan for the purchase of various clothing items to stock her business and also for products to stock her hair salon and continue with her service.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. The group photo was not possible in order to avoid the gathering of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
