Liborio's story

Liborio is a senior farmer with more than 30 years of experience cultivating diverse types of coffee crops for local and international consumption. His crop is located at Acevedo municipality in Colombia’s Huila department, a region known for its rich terrains and exquisite coffee production. Acevedo has also been one of the regions the National Government prioritized to implement diverse post-conflict initiatives regarding the implementation of Colombia’s peace treaty.

Throughout his life, Liborio has managed to raise his seven children with his agricultural work. He currently lives with three of his sons who help him cultivate and harvest the coffee around his land. His dream is to expand his knowledge to his young sons so they can follow his footsteps as coffee producers in the region. A loan of $3.483.549 COP helps Liborio and his family to acquire fertilizer and other important elements to guarantee his crop’s sustainability.
