Mirna Elizabeth's story

Mirna is single and has a 10-month-old son. She and her son live together with her mother and a brother.

Mirna sells fruits and vegetables. She also makes sleeping mats. She spends her mornings selling fruits and vegetables and she weaves sleeping mats in the afternoon. Mirna says that she learned this craft from her mother, who also used to run this kind of business, but she decided to start her own business 12 years ago.

Mirna is applying for a loan to purchase tule reed at wholesale, the raw material she needs to increase her production of sleeping mats. The objective of the investment is to have high-quality raw materials to increase the profitability of her business.

Mirna’s dreams are to support her son, meaning to provide him an education, and good health, among other things. She would also like to expand her business.
