Delcy Maria's story

Delcy Maria is a 23 year year old young entrepreneur and resident of the city of Cartagena de Indias, She lives with her spouse and her son and she operates a business selling meals for any occasion. Delcy started this business about four years ago after having studied cooking in an institution. She had the desire to provide a better quality of living for her family and household. This young woman started her business with the small amount of savings she had. With the passing of time she gained some renown in her area for her good work and being a responsible person. She offers her services daily to her main customers who are people from surrounding sectors, neighbors and people passing through. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic she had to stop her business by government decree and health reasons. So her sales and profits were drastically affected.

She is currently applying for her first loan from Kiva with the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to increase her working capital and inventory of raw material like flour, eggs, vegetables, tubers, meat, soft drinks, plastic bags, straws, trays, etc. She wants to increase her number of sales and profits. Support her with this loan for her business.
