Meboh's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize, as well as a solar light.

Meboh's Group's story

Meboh, pictured above, has five children and is representing her group nine farmers in Lugari District, Kenya. She joined One Acre Fund for the first time in 2013 and decided to represent her group because she likes being a leader.

With a portion of this loan, Meboh will purchase maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season, as well as a solar light. Receiving a solar light as part of her loan means that now she will be able to reduce her consumption of paraffin fuel and save more money. Meboh plans to use the profits she gains this year to send her children to school.

Meboh’s Group will use the inputs received from this loan to plant a total of 8.5 acres of land. They will also receive a total of three solar lights.
