Maima's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more washing soap, red oil, rice, and other items to sell.

Maima's story

Meet 49-year-old Maima from Liberia. She is married with 7 children, 4 of whom are currently living at home while attending school.

Maima runs a business where she sells washing soap, red oil, rice, and other items. She has been engaged in this business for the past 11 years and works 12 hours per day, 6 days a week. For the time being, she has no problems with her business.

Maima requested this loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner, to purchase more washing soap, red oil, rice, and other items to sell. She says that the income from this loan will help improve her family's standard of living. In the future, she would like to continue sending her children to school. She thanks BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
