Malaika Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy five sacks of corn and six sacks of cassava.

Malaika Group's story

Safi is a client with the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the village group "Malaika." She is married, 36 years old, and a mother of seven children, of whom four are in school. Three children are still very young. Her partner is a merchant.

Safi sells a local drink. She started this business 9 years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which is continually developing. With this new loan, she is going to buy five sacks of corn and six sacks of cassava, which will increase her initial capital. Her business has no problems.

Safi would like to see her children continue in school and to buy a piece of land. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for their support of business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of this global COVID-19 crisis.
