Blanca Mariana's story
Blanca Mariana M. D. Z. is 34 years old. She lives in the town of Soyapango, located in the San Salvador department. She lives there with her husband, who is 46 and who works as a mechanic, and with her two minor children who are in school. Blanca has a store which is located in her house, and she also sells pupusas, which she makes every weeknight. She is asking for a loan to be financially able to diversify her business. Blanca does not have the money to do this and it is neceesary for her and her husband because the store allows them to pay for a big part of the family expenses. She wants to diversify the store with products such as detergent, canned foods, bread, candies, beverages, and other products. These are basic home necessities and are what people ask for the most in the store. The loan will also be to buy a greater quantity of ingredients to make the pupusas, which allow her to make a little more profit.
