Loicy's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve her harvests of maize.

Loicy's Group's story

Pictured above is Loicy, often described as an extremely hardworking individual. She is 48 years old and has eight children. As a group leader, she is representing her group of 11 farmers in Teso District, Kenya.

Loicy is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again as this means that she is able to have access to the best seed prices, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Loicy says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2017, she has been able to save more money, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Loicy will use the profits from this season to invest in a business.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 5.75 acres.
