Benkadi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds and other tools for the fields, in order to increase production of legumes.

Benkadi Group's story

Rokia is 48 years old and married. She is the mother of two children, a son and a daughter. Both of her children attend school. She is featured alone in the photograph above in order to maintain social distancing. In the picture she is holding peanuts with her daba (a West African farming tool) on her shoulder.

For the past 12 years Rokia has grown crops of peanuts in order to help her husband cover family expenses and care for their children.

In order to increase her profits after the harvests, Rokia plans to use this loan to expand her field of peanuts by purchasing seeds, tools, herbicides, and other necessities.

Rokia's dream is to help her children succeed in life. The main difficulty her crops face is bad rainfall.
