Ushirika Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on used shoes, which will support her initial capital.

Ushirika Group's story

Mme Angeline is a client of Hekima IMF and presides over the groupe villageoise Ushirika. She is married, 35 years old, and the mother of four children, three of whom are in school and one is younger. Her partner is unemployed.

She is a used-shoe vender. She started this business 13 years ago with startup funds received from her husband. Later she got involved in the Hekima program to support her business, over the course of which she progressively improved. With this new loan, she is going to stock up on used shoes, which will support her initial capital. The weakness in her business is linked to the bad state of shoes.

She would like for her children to continue to study and for her to feed her family. Thus, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to business owners without means in the context of the global crisis linked to Covid-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of Covid-19, out of respect for social distancing measures.
