Mery's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Mery's Group's story

Mery, pictured above, has been a farmer for seven years and is now proud to represent her group of 19 farmers in Teso District. She is 30 years old, married, and has four children.

She likes to think of herself as a very friendly person. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2017 and decided to represent her group because she was just proposed by the team. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has been able to consistently feed her family. Mery plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.

Mery’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 10.75 acres of land. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan the group will receive three solar lights.
