Janarhan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cattle to increase her cattle breeding income.

Janarhan's story

This lovely lady is Janarhan. She is 28 years old, is college educated, is married, and is raising two children. She has been rearing livestock and growing crops since 2016, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Janarhan's hard work and her husband's help around the farm, it presently consists of two cows, 20 sheep, and a 2.4-hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows organic potatoes, alfalfa, and barley.

In order to develop her business further, Janarhan is seeking support from Kiva in the amount of 90,000 som (KGS), to buy livestock. Her goal in this is to increase her income from livestock breeding and sales of organic meat. The income generated by the loan will help her expand her farm by boosting her pedigree cow headcount, and will also assist her in buying a new home.
