Latu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving and hire men to plant her own plantation.

Latu's story

Latu has three children and a husband, and they live in their own home. She runs a weaving business where she joins a group in her neighborhood and together they weave daily. They weave mats and ta'ovala, using brown pandanus, the only type they can access in their village.

Latu sells out her weaving at the local market, from her home and to her relatives overseas. Her weaving contributes a lot to her family's expenses and her children's educational needs.

She plans to plant her own pandanus plantation, not only to help meet her needs, but also to sell to earn extra income. With this loan, she'll buy pandanus for her weaving and also hire men to help her husband plant her plantation. A better future for her children through the work of her hand is what Latu dreams.
