Crecer Sin Parar Group's story

The communal bank "Crecer Sin Parar" [Grow Without Stopping] is made up of eight members. In the photograph, the first on the right is the president of the communal bank, Melissa, who has a coffee-colored jacket and an embroidered purse. The second is Flora, who has a red and black jacket. And the third woman with a beige jacket is treasurer Silvia.

Flora is 63 years old and she told us her story. She made a living during her youth and childhood working with her mother selling food until she found a partner. Almost two years ago she lost her job and because of the need to get ahead, she restarted her business, opening a stall selling food. She sells a variety of foods and full lunches.

At the moment, she lives only with one of her daughters. She needs money to buy a bigger stove and some utensils. She says that thanks to this stand, she has the drive to continue working since she feels like an enterprising person. Her biggest dream is to leave her daughter with an established family pension that will allow her to get ahead.

Only three people are in the photo because of biosecurity measures because of the pandemic we are going through.
