01_Sounes Sereres Group's story

This group is comprised of six women who support each other and live in the same village. They have repaid several loans on time. Their primary activity is business.

Madame Rokhaya is 59 years old and is standing on the left in the photo with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of nine children, three of whom are boys, and all of whom are independent. Her youngest is 20 years old.

Madame Rokhaya sells ladies' accessories. She buys her goods at the markets in the large cities and resells them out of her home in her neighborhood. She has more than 3 years of experience in this business.

With her loan she plans to buy summer dresses, shoes, and kitchenware, which she will resell on credit and then get paid at the end of the month. Her business is growing gradually because she sometimes has difficulty getting repaid.

Her profits allow her to increase her savings and help her husband and children with the household expenses.
