Dennis' Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Dennis' Group's story

Dennis, pictured above, has been a farmer for five years and is now proud to represent his group of 11 farmers in Kenya's Teso District. He is 36 years old, married, and has three children.

Dennis likes to think of himself as a very friendly person. He has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2018 and decided to represent his group because he likes being a leader. Dennis says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that he has had more profits from each harvest. Dennis plans to use the profits from this coming season to send his children to school.

In total, Dennis’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 7.5 acres of land. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of one solar light.
