Kanguka Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to use her portion to buy more cooking oil, rice, sugar, and salt.

Kanguka Cb Group's story

Evelena, shown above, is a 37-year-old mother of one child aged 7 years. Her husband is a businessman, and for the past five years, she has owned a grocery store.

Evelena is the leader of the group named KANGUKA CB, which means “Wake up" in English. The group members, who will share in this loan, sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Evelena will use her portion of the loan to buy more cooking oil, rice, sugar, and salt to sell in her community so that she can meet the customer demand. With the profit she earns from her sales, she will be able to provide for her family.

Evelena is grateful for the support of the lenders.

"Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group."
