A loan helped to buy sheets.

Irma Rosa's story

Irma, 30, is in a common-law relationship. She has three children, ages 8, 3 and 1. Her husband works in fishing. They live in Jaramijo Canton, which is well known for being a pretty place that attracts tourists to its beautiful beaches and delicious cuisine.

Irma's a modest woman who moves forward to earn her own income despite the adversity she faces. That's why two years ago she started her business selling sheets in sizes from twin to king, which she sold as a street vendor. Because of the sanitary measures imposed by the government during the pandemic and for fear of contagion, though, she decided to sell from her home to avoid contracting the virus.

This has been very hard for her because her sales aren't like they used to be, but she keeps on because that's how she earns her living.

She's going to invest this loan in sheets in a variety of colors.

Her dream is for her business to progress.
