A loan helped to pay for land filling around her house to cover the mud.

Sokha's story

Sokha, aged 32, lives with her family located in the area of Bakan district, Pursat province. At home, Sokha has been operating a small convenience shop, offering many types of products including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in her community.

She makes a suitable income of 5.00 USD per day, from which she can cover her daily costs. She takes good responsibility in her tasks such as asking customers questions, recommending the best product based on their desires and needs, and preparing products to be displayed on the sales floor. She also has sales skills, customer service, money handling, negotiation, memorization, communication skills and physical fitness.

Because of the shortage of her finance, she has applied for a loan of 2,000 USD to pay for land filling around her house to cover the mud. With this loan support, she can pay for land filling and can provide her family members with a good environment, fresh air, protection from illness and better living conditions.

In the future, she aims to renovate her old house and purchase more grocery produce for selling. She sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help a poor fellow like her and she believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
