Salimata Doucoure's story

Salimata Doucoure is 33 years old and the mother of three children. Her two school aged children attend school.

She works in food sales selling various local juices. Her business is running well and she says that it is also lucrative. Salimata already benefitted from a Kiva loan through Fansosto which she used as per the terms and repaid on time. Her business developed thanks to the Kiva loan and she wishes to continue further in this manner.

She is asking for a loan to buy more sugar and fruit with which to produce a stock of juice in preparation for the famine.

The profits from her business are used to pay her children's school fees, her family's food needs and the remainder is reinvested in to her working capital. She would like to open a large boutique to sell her juices as well as cosmetics.
