03_Djilacoune Group's story

This group of five women is part of the women's group founded in February 2001. Its members are primarily active in the sale of palm oil, peanuts, and fruit.
Adama Lamine, shown in the photo, represents the group. She is 57, married, and has nine children, five of whom are girls. She has been developing her business selling palm oil, peanuts, and fruit for several years now. With the new loan, she plans to increase the amount of merchandise on which she stocks up. She will resell her products from her home.
The profits will go towards helping her husband cover daily expenses but also tuition and healthcare expenses for the children.
