Christine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs, such as high quality seeds and fertilizers, to improve productivity.

Christine's story

Get to know Christine a 34-year-old married mom of 6 school going children. A mother who is practical and resourceful. Faced with unemployment, she started practicing mixed farming a few years ago. It is through Christine’s perseverance and courage that her children have a respectable life.

Christine grows maize and livestock, through which she has been able to earn a decent and honest income. Although Christine has been making profits through farming, not everything has been easy for this humble and industrious mother. Her farm has not been producing an optimal harvest, as she is lacking fertilizer and good seeds and has had issues with pests and diseases.

Modern agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, creating the upgraded inputs used in the sector today, so there is need to use improved farming inputs for effective production. Therefore, Christine is seeking a loan of KES 20,000 to be able to buy farming inputs, such as high quality seeds and fertilizers, to improve productivity. Christine’s plan is to be able to increase her farming and save money to buy more farmland.
