Nuuru's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock more shoes for resale.

Nuuru's story

Nuuru is 23 years old and lives in the town of Kasangati in the Kasangati region of Uganda. She has one child. For the past 3 years, Nuuru has been working hard to manage her retail shop, which sells first-class shoes .

To help expand her business, Nuuru has requested a loan of 1,200,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to stock more shoes for resale, and will help Nuuru to generate greater profits as her stock increases and attracts more revenue.

The profits will help her manage to provide her family with enough food.

Nuuru hopes that, in the future, she will be able to buy a plot of land to build a big house for rental.

Nuuru is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small Group members like Nuuru who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
