Salome's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy clay and tapa paper for her tapa-making projects.

Salome's story

Salome is a 61-year-old mother to her seven children. It has been seven years now since she became a widow, and she lives with her two youngest children. Salome runs a tapa-making business, where she joins a group of women in their village. Together, they make tapas once every week.

She self-designs her tapas, then sells them out to earn money for her family. Some other women also hire her to design their tapas, and it is another source of income for her.

Salome is solely responsible for the caring and school fees of her two youngest, and she does not want to rely on her older children to provide for her. With this loan, she will be able to buy clay and tapa papers for her tapa-making business. She does not spend money on mulberry for she has her own mulberry plantation that provides for her.
