A loan helped purchase a stove.

Las Vencedoras Group's story

Ms. Victoria started working at a young age, helping out in several different restaurants. She started selling salteñas [a type of oven-baked pastry] on foot, walking through different parts of the city. That's where Victoria learned to prepare salteñas and she bought a small stove to make her own, but the pandemic put an end to it and with the quarantine and time passing she had to sell her stove. At this time, she has returned to selling salteñas and tucumanas [deep fried empanadas] from a spot she has at Maria Ayma market. Everybody at the market and in her neighborhood knows Victoria due to the delicious pastries she sells every day. She will used the loan she's requesting to buy a new stove; eventually she wants to have her own store so that her customers have access to her delicious pastries and can enjoy the quality of her products.
This photograph shows Ms. Alvina, secretary, in the red sweater and blue trousers, Victoria the treasurer with the pink top and grey trousers, and Mayti, the president, in the black jacket and grey trousers. Only 3 people appear in the photograph in order to comply with Covid 19 protocols.
