Vanva's story

Vanva Julie Sandra lives in a village which is 9 kilometres away from Port Vila city. Her community is small, and the main industry is food. Although Covid-19 pandemic has affected Vanuatu, it has been quite alright for one to earn an income.

She is 38 years old and is happily married. Her husband is a civil servant and has been very supportive to her, both at home and her business. She lives with her family in her own home.

Vanva Julie Sandra has requested a loan to help her purchase kava juice to stock up her kava bar to resell to her customers. She will also purchase raw materials and food ingredients which she will stock up her kitchen to produce mouth-watering food for her customers. She wants to make new dishes to attract more customers.

With the earned revenue, she will use it to complete her unfinished home. Vanva Julie Sandra dreams of starting a cooperative for her community. It will benefit and support families in her community.

South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd has supported her for over two years now, and this is her third loan. She has been devoted to her previous loan repayments on a timely manner. Through her loans, Vanva Julie Sandra feels empowered to expand her business and achieve her dreams.
