Brandon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped us build an innovative website/app to market our local meal-prep, boxed lunches + catering events.
I grew up in a small community outside of Springfield, Illinois in the '80s with my mother and father. My Dad was a Coal Miner and Farmer while my Mom raised me and two sisters. Almost everything we ate was farm-to-table. A few years after my folks split my mother remarried and took me to Chicago at 11 years old. Farm life to Skyscrapers overnight. It was very hard to adjust, and I always missed that fresh-picked food straight from our fields. Once out of high school, I started working in sales and marketing. Around my early thirties, mainly due to the mortgage crash, I was laid off. I always loved the thought of cooking professionally, so I decided to move to St. Louis in 2011 and see if I could try and find a restaurant that would allow me to come in and work my way up. After working every front and back of house position available, I started doing little pop-up events. I personally started South City Sauces back in 2014, however, with unforeseen family issues, it went on hiatus and I never built it up. Due to Covid-19, I started getting more and more calls from clients wanting fresh delivery without leaving their homes. My new Kitchen Manager/Sous and I worked together in 2011, and again in 2013. We possess a combined 30+ years of restaurant experience. Her passion for food and attention to detail is the perfect match for mine. We're motivated by the smiles that our events provide, especially for those who may not have the means to provide a meal for their families. Our love and knowledge of food, coupled with our years of sales, marketing/promotional skills allow us to create a farm-to-table platform, that we deliver to our clients with LOVE.
