La Liberte Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on rice, flour, oil, Omo, sugar, wine, etc. to sell.

La Liberte Group's story

Ms. Marie is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the business group named “LA LIBERTE”. She is married, 44 years old, and the mother of six children. Four of the children have finished, and two are in school. Her husband is a merchant.

A vendor of various goods, she began this enterprise fifteen years ago with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program for supporting her enterprise and has since been progressing in it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up on rice, flour, oil, Omo [detergent], fruit juices, sugar, and wines, thus bolstering her capital. The challenge in her business has to do with missing customers.

She would like to feed her family and for her children to continue in their studies. So, she would like to say thank you to Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo shows only the group leader due to COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
